Obstetric ultrasound

An obstetrical ultrasound creates an image of the embryo or fetus inside the mother's uterus using sound waves.
Physicians execute the operation and review the photos to look for problems, birth deformities, placenta size, cervix size, and baby gender.

Why is an advanced ultrasound at HIGH RISK PREGNANCY CENTER OF ARIZONA better than those at many OB/GYN practices or local hospitals? Women who undergo sophisticated ultrasound testing performed by MFM experts (also known as perinatologists) had a three-fold increase in abnormality diagnosis when compared to community-based radiology or OB/GYN offices, according to research. This gives you reassurance that everything looks to be going properly multiple times.

Our MFM specialists can work with your main doctor or obstetrician to diagnose concerns early, giving you the best opportunity for a successful pregnancy and birth.

The diagnosis is usually normal for mothers-to-be without risk factors, allowing you to relax and enjoy your pregnancy knowing that you and your baby are in good health.

You can rest easy knowing that you have received specialized ultrasound.
